On 23 March 2020, the government cabinet announced that all events subject to a permit and notification requirement will be prohibited until 1 June 2020, including events involving fewer than 100 persons. This means that events and festivities will not be held until that time. Read more about the measures regarding events.
Play farm Elsenhove
Also play farm Elsenhove will be closed until 6 April 2020. Ofcourse in the meantime the animals will be well taken care of.
Belevingscentrum Amstelveen InZicht
Belevingscentrum Amstelveen InZicht will be closed until 31 March 2020. Further information can be found on the website of Amstelveen Inzicht.
The waste-disposal station at the Legmeer business park is open, although it is busy at the moment. That is why we ask you to save up your (bulky) waste and only take it away when you have a fully loaded car. This will reduce the number of visitors and therefore the risk of an infection by the coronavirus.
Inspection of documents in the city hall temporarily not possible
During the period when the restrictive measures are applicable, no documents are available for inspection in the city hall. Decisions that are subject to a duty of inspection, such as draft zoning plans or draft permits, can temporarily only be viewed online. Reference to the relevant website is included in the official publication of the specific decision. If you are unable to view documents online, you can contact the city by telephone on (020) 540 49 11.
The city publishes announcements of official notifications of, among other things, permits, regulations and spatial plans on the website Overheid.nl. On the page Overuwbuurt, you will receive information about decisions that affect your environment. This can be done via an app or by e-mail. You decide in the settings which messages you wish to receive.
Fewer PMD bags drop-off points
Since community centres and libraries are closed, the number of collection points for free PMD bags has been reduced. PMD stands for Plastic, Metal/Cans and Drink cartons. The bags are an extra service provided by the city to be used for the PMD mini-container or in the underground PMD containers. The PMD bags will be available in the coming weeks at the entrance of the waste collection station, the entrance of the city hall and the Bankrasflora school garden at Jeanne d’Arclaan 6.
