Disabled resident's parking permit
Do you have a European Disabled Person’s Parking Card (GPK) for drivers or passengers? Then you can apply for a disabled resident’s parking permit (GPV) which will allow you to park in all of Amstelveen’s parking spaces.
The disabled resident’s parking permit is valid in all parking areas where paid parking applies. The permit allows for unlimited parking.
Permit in addition to the Disabled Person’s Parking Card
The European Disabled Person’s Parking Card does not allow you to park for free in paid parking spaces. For this, you will need the disabled resident’s parking permit.
You can use the European Disabled Parking Card to:
- park for up to four hours in general disabled parking spaces in the city centre;
- park unlimited in blue zones.
It is required to place the Disabled Person’s Parking Card visibly behind your windshield. The expiration date of the card must be visible from the outside. A copy of the card will not suffice.
If a maximum time frame applies, you will need to indicate the starting time on a parking disc. You will need to place this in a visible place behind your windshield as well.
