No events until 1 June 2020
On 23 March, the government cabinet announced that all events subject to a permit and notification requirement will be prohibited until 1 June 2020, including events involving fewer than 100 persons. This means that events and festivities will not be held until that time.
These are drastic measures that the government is taking to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. The events planned up to and including 31 May 2020, for which a permit has been granted in the meantime, will soon receive further information about the legal implications of this nation-wide decree. All applications that are still pending or that were submitted before 2020 will be put on hold for the time being, or will not be processed until there is more clarity about the period after 1 June 2020. The city hopes to inform organisers as soon as possible after 1 May 2020.
The city is aware that this is a radical decision for organisers and events, because many organisers started preparations many months ago. The city hopes that you will appreciate the situation.
For funerals, weddings and gatherings of a religious or philosophical nature, an exception applies provisionally until 6 April 2020, provided that no more than 30 persons attend.
